Lubaantun Mayan Ruins

Lubaantun's structures are mostly built of large stone blocks laid with no mortar, primarily black slate rather than the limestone typical of the region. Several structures have distinctive "in-and-out masonry"; each tier is built with a batter, every second course projecting slightly beyond the course below it.

Is Belize Safe?

Is Belize Safe?
The answer to that question is YES.
The general country of Belize is safe to travel and safe for a vacation as there are many vacation destination.  But there are some areas in some of Belize's rural areas the is not safe.

Belize City Safety

Belize city is the main city on the Country and can be divided in to part, North-side and south-side by a river. It is the place to go if you want the best of both world, meaning "Reef and Rainforest" as tours can easily be book for either destination. The South-side is high in poverty and is high in crime, the safe area is Regent and Albert street where you will find the government building and major shopping center. The side of the site is more tourism oriented and is safe as you would find most accommodation.

Advise to Locals and Tourist: Don't walk the city alone

The Cayo District is the second most populated district apart from Belize. San Ignacio town is the Tourist Capital of the district and is where will find many tours to the Mayan Ruins, River, Cave of Belize.
San Ignacio town is safe for tourist, the main area is known as burns avenue and it is litter with place for tourist as tons of places of tourist info. Many hotel and tour operator can be found on Burn Avenue. Many hotel such a Cahal Pech Village Resort is local 10 min away from Burns Avenue and is safe to walk during the day time.

Is Placencia, Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker Safe?
Placencia, Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker are safe. But unlike the islands, Placencia has the largest stretch of beach in Belize and many small coral atolls call Cayes, which a great for a day trip on a island. Placencia is low on crime and so is Belize two largest island Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker.

Advise to Tourist: Some locals, mealy men would try to make friend with tourist for the wrong reason, avoid them. If in need of local company, simply as anyone who a tour guide, just ask to see the license.
